BUdelli Island lies to the north of Spargi and is known for its famous pink beach. Its coral sandy shore, the intense colours of the sea together with the granites that surround the island, represent a unique sight in the world, a natural monument which should be observed silently. The pink beach in Budelli is shown in "Deserto rosso", a film by Michelangelo Antonioni. Razzoli and S. Maria are almost linked up from passo degli Asinelli. The island of Razzoli lies in the North. Its imposing cliff and the shape of its stones, similar to sculptures by Moore, strike everyone. In S. Maria there are some buildings which were built before suitability for building was forbidden. However, there tourists find a very old and small monastery where in the Middle Ages Benedictines took shelter from Bonifacio. On the island there is a beautiful seaside, Cala S. Maria, which is one of the biggest in the archipelago. In S. Maria, a really quiet place, the scriptwriter Franco Solinas, among the best ones in the world, wrote many pages of the most famous films of the "cinema impegnato italiano" (Italian committed cinema) trend. Porto della Madonna: this is the name of the lagoon with an emerald green water. It is surrounded by Budelli, Razzoli and S. Maria islands. It represents the most suggestive point in the park, it is a mythical place where, maybe, Venus was born.
