Chiavari is at 40 km east of Genoa in the bay of Tigullio and a lively little town. Once it was famous for ship building, today it is a very well equipped tourist resort , it has a very large " marina" pleasure harbour, it seems that there are more luxury boats and sailing ships than cars. From here, you easily sail to the Cinque Terre to Portofino and San Fruttuoso.
