Beyond Porto Liccia and Punta Capaccia there is the wide bay of Romazzino, with crystalline waters and a beautiful beach behind which the homonymous picturesque hotel stands. A little further to the south, there is Piccolo Romazzino - a smaller complex separated from the main one - built next to the inlet of Lu Imbarcatoio, which offers some beautiful beaches surrounded by the gentle outlines of verdant hills. Between the two complexes, a very panoramic stretch of coastal road - with fascinating views over the near reefs and the islands of Soffi and Mortorio - leads, making only a short detour, to Portu di Li Coggi, perhaps the most beautiful cove on the Emerald Coast. It is also known as the spiaggia del Principe (beach of the Prince) and it does deserve to be visited.
The most enthusiastic descriptions and the most spectacular photographs are incapable of communicating the charm of this splendid inlet. Its sandy sea-beds, which extend for many tens of metres, give the water marvellous colours and reflections. The island of Mortorio stands out with its characteristic outline, right in front of Romazzino. It appears steep and rocky, hence different from the flatter island of Soffi; but, thanks to the position of its two coves (to the east and west) it gives the opportunity of bathing in ever calm waters, whatever be the wind blowing.
